Agadir is Morocco’s big beach resort on the Atlantic coast and the country’s second most visited tourist destination. Its bay, regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world, offers more than 10 km of sand and every kind of water sport.
Away from the beach, climb up to the Kasbah of Agadir Oufella, 236 metres above the bay, for the view; wander through the El Had souk and the Polizzi medina; or head out to Paradise Valley and Souss-Massa National Park.
Al Massira Airport (AGA) is 25 km south-east of the centre, and you can get into town by bus or taxi.
